During this year's Remembrance Day ceremony in London security was intense as the UK's Royal Family, government leaders, parliamentarians, military chiefs, and several thousand veterans gathered along Whitehall. On the roof of the Metropolitan Police Service headquarters at New Scotland Yard, engineers had installed a counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (C-TJAV) system to monitor the skies of central London and potentially neutralise any threat that might deliver explosives, toxic material, or just cause mass panic. The presence of this equipment, believed to have been made by a partnership of three UK companies, was a graphic demonstration that the terrorist UAV threat is being taken very seriously at the highest level of the UK government.
