Myanmar's military government has proposed a defence budget of MMK2.36 trillion (USD2.39 billion) for 2014, according to local media reports. The allocation represents 14% of the total government expenditure - the largest outlay of all government ministries - but a fall of about 15% against the military expenditure in 2013, said the reports.
