Germany has ordered 76 more General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) Eagle V 4×4 protected command vehicles, the company announced on 10 March. The vehicles are being ordered as part of the Geschuetzten Fueh-rungs- und Funktionsfahrzeugs (Armoured Command and Multifunctional Vehicle) der Klasse 2 (GFF Class 2) programme for the German Army. Germany first ordered the Eagle V in June 2013, with the possibility of an additional order of 76 vehicles - now taken up being included as an option in the earlier contract. Germany's procurement agency, the Bundesamt fuer Ausruestung, Information stechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) is understood to have taken up the option on 20 February.
