Continuing delays in software testing for the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter could again increase development costs and slow delivery of the full capability, congressional investigators have said in a new report. "Delivery of warfighting capabilities could be delayed by as much as 13 months," the Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported on 24 March.
