Mumbai-headquartered Pipavav Defence and Offshore Engineering has revealed plans to establish a facility in Hyderabad to manufacture missiles and torpedoes for the Indian Navy (IN). Speaking at an event held by the Confederation of Indian Industry on 7 May, Pipavav's senior advisor, Naresh Kumar, said the company is seeking to support the facility through local industrial partners who would undertake subcontracted design and manufacturing activities.
