The US Air Force (USAF) plans to realign staff functions at headquarters across the service in an effort to cut costs by at least 20% over the next five years. The reorganisation is intended to save about USD 1.6 billion as well as improve business processes and eliminate redundancy, according to a Department of Defense (DoD) press statement.
