The first flight of the Novaer T-Xc Pilgrim two-seat side-by-side primary trainer occurred on 22 August at Sao Jose dos Campos, according to a Novaer announcement. Novaer said the T-Xc Pilgrim was developed from the K-51 aerobatics demonstrator. The aircraft has been in development since 2010, aided by a BRL25 million (USD11 million) grant from the Brazilian government's Funding Authority for Studies and Projects (FINEP) to design a replacement for Brazil's T-25 Universal primary trainers.
