摘要

Two of the most significant deals of 2012 - in terms of wider sector impact and scale -ultimately floundered, leaving the market to consider how the landscape might have changed had the outcome been different. BAE Systems and EADS: The two companies announced both their game-changing merger plans and the failure of the three core governments (France, Germany, and the UK) to agree to terms in the space of four weeks in September and October. The deal would have created the world's largest aerospace and defence company with USD94 billion revenues and a 250,000-strong payroll.
