Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) - the monolithic, state-controlled group that sits above the country's fixed-wing aviation assets - will turn its attention to the consolidation of the national transport aircraft sector during 2013, while Moscow is preparing legislation to aid private companies in the national defence markets. UAC announced its strategic vision for further consolidation in the release of its improved 2012 financial figures on 26 February, while legislative reform was revealed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin earlier that week.
