The United Kingdom and Japan will jointly develop chemical protective suits as an initial step towards wider defence industry collaboration, according to reports in Japan. Citing unidentified sources within the Japan Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Japanese NHK TV station reported on 6 March that the development of chemical protective suits had been selected as a focus for collaboration against other proposals to develop artillery components.
