Officials from Argentine aircraft manufacturer Fabrics Argentina de Aviones (FAdeA) have offered an optimistic assessment of the 86-year-old company based on an expanding product line and the company's re-acquisition by the government In 2010. At the recent SITDEF exhibition, held in Lima, Peru, from 15-19 May, FAdeA updated IHS Jane's on its UNASUR-1 multinational primary training aircraft programme: one of the first co-operative defence projects of the 12-member Union of South American States, sanctioned in December 2011.
