The United States will deliver another four F-16C/D aircraft to Egypt, despite an ongoing review of US aid to the country in the wake of the 3 July coup. The US Department of Defense (DoD) confirmed to IHS Jane's on 11 July that the third consignment of F-16C/Ds would be delivered to Egypt by the end of the month, bringing the country's total up to 12 of the 20 it has ordered. A DoD spokesman explained that US support for the Egyptian military was continuing as scheduled pending a review of US aid to Cairo, which includes USD1.3 billion in Foreign Military Financing (FMF) every year.
