Russia's latest version of the Mil Mi-28 'Havoc' attack helicopter made its maiden flight on 9 August, Russian Helicopters has announced. Known as the Mi-28UB, the variant is billed as a combat training helicopter and is intended to speed up pilot training on the Mi-28 platform. The first demonstration flight of the aircraft was observed by the Chief of the Russian Air Force, Lieutenant General Viktor Bondar, at Rostvertol's facility outside Rostov-on-Don.
