The Sudanese Air Force has increased its ground attack capabilities by acquiring Suk-hoi Su-24 'Fencer' aircraft. The acquisition has been confirmed by DigitalGlobe satellite imagery, which shows that the first Su-24 arrived at the Wadi Sayyidna (Seidna) Air Base north of Khartoum between 8 February and 18 March. Three of the distinctive swing-wing supersonic strike aircraft were visible at the air base in satellite imagery taken in June and August.
