Ukraine's Ukrinmash and Russia's Aviaeksport signed a co-operation agreement to jointly develop helicopter servicing and maintenance activities in Ukraine and abroad, as well as jointly export Mil Mi-17 and Mil Mi-171 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, on 27 August at the MAKS 2013 international air show. The agreement, signed by Ukrinmash Director Gennady Sheremet and Aviaeksport General Director Viktor Neshkov, will enable the Ukrainians to obtain spare parts and components for rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft directly from Russian enterprises without having to go through Russian third-party export organisations.
