Singapore may buy six AN/ TPQ-53 (V) counterfire radars for approximately USD179 million, according to a notification published by the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency on 8 October. If the sale goes through Singapore would be the first international customer for the system, which was first fielded by the US Army in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2010.
