The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has agreed to transfer its fleet of Mirage 2000 multirole fighters to Libya, according to Arabic press reports citing senior Libyan officials.The reports said France was also involved in the agreement, which Involves the transfer of 68 aircraft.The UAE has taken delivery of 68 Mirage 2000 aircraft in various configurations since 1989, but only 59 are now thought to remain in service. Having upgraded a number of the older types, the UAE currently operates 43 Mirage 2000-9RAD multirole fighters and 16 Mirage 2000-9DAD trainers, according to Jane's World Air Forces.
