Qatar has ordered tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from Turkey in a USD25 million deal, Turkish media reported on 13 March.The sale, which represents the first time that Qatar has sought to introduce an unmanned capability into its inventory, covers 10 Bayraktar UAVs produced by Baykar Makina. The report did not say when the platforms would be delivered or which arm of the Qatari armed forces would operate them.
