Industry officials have outlined their plans to move ahead with developing the US Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) even though the Pentagon has significantly scaled back the project. Formerly a tri-service programme that was to replace Hellfire, Maverick and helicopterlaunched TOW missiles, the Pentagon shifted the programme to a US Army-led effort and reduced the cost by USD 117 million to USD 10 million in its Fiscal Year 2013 budget request.
