The UN Security Council (UNSC) is investigating claims that the transporter-erectorlauncher (TEL) displayed by North Korea at a military parade on 15 April is of Chinese origin. IHS Jane's reported on 16 April that images suggest China has either sold the design or manufactured the 16-wheel TEL vehicle, which is apparently based on a design from the 9th Academy of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), also known as the Hubei Sanjiang Space Wanshan Special Vehicle Co Ltd, which produces the WS series of TELs.
