Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing growing opposition from a group of former intelligence officials who have decided to speak out publicly with the aim of torpedoing a military strike against Iran's nuclear programme. Former Mossad director Meir Dagan called an attack on Iran the "stupidest idea" he had ever heard. "Iran is not an Israeli problem but an international problem and should be solved by the international community," he said on 29 April.
