The US House of Representatives has passed a motion to prevent the United States purchasing military equipment and services from Rosoboronexport. The move follows the purchase by the US Army of 10 Mil MM7V-5 'Hip' multi-role helicopters for the Afghan Air Force from the Russian state arms export body. The amendment to the US FY13 Defense Appropriations Bill was passed on 19 July by 407 votes to five.
