The US Army will consider a wide price range as it studies whether to upgrade or replace its Bell OH-58D Kiowa Warrior armed scout helicopter, officials said during the Association of the US Army (AUSA) annual conference in Washington, DC, in October. Colonel Robert Grigsby, the army's armed scout helicopter project manager, said service officials are "continuing to analyse data" provided by companies in their written responses to a request for information (RfI) released in April, as well as assessing voluntary flight demonstrations by several of the potential competitors.
