Eurofighter plans to resubmit its Typhoon combat aircraft to Brazil in the wake of a decision by President Dilma Roussef to reopen the F-X2 fighter replacement competition, a company spokesperson told Jane's on 20 January. The Typhoon was one of a number of aircraft that were cut from the F-X2 competition in 2008, having failed to make the original downselect to three platforms.
