Alliant Techsystems (ATK) has been contracted by Jordan's King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) to convert two Jordanian Airbus Military CN-235 twin-engine transport aircraft into light gunships. The contract, announced at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi on 20 February, is subject to US government export licensing approval but should see the converted aircraft delivered by the late spring of 2013. Terms of the deal were not announced.
