The Peruvian Army Aviation Command (Aviacion del Ejercito - AE) officially accepted five new aircraft for service as well as two upgraded helicopters and four repaired platforms in a 24 February ceremony at its home base in Lima. The new aircraft are one Raytheon Beech 190dD, two Cessna 172 Skyhawks and two Robinson R-44 Raven helicopters. The Beech 1900D will complement the AE's sole Beech 350 and two Piper PA-31Ts that are used for liaison, medevac and VIP transport duties.
