Embraer has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in the sensing and surveillance division of Brazilian company OrbiSat da Amazonia SA (OAS). It is the first purchase to have been made through Embraer's recently established Defense and Security business and reflects the expectation of a bow-wave of security investment by the Brazil government.
