Embraer's newly created Defence & Security (D&S) division has entered into a partnership with a subsidiary of Israel's Elbit Systems to pursue unmanned aerial systems (UAS) opportunities, in addition to launching the partial acquisition of a domestic defence operation. Embraer D&S and AEL Sistemas - a subsidiary of Elbit based in Brazil that produces defence electronics systems -announced their partnership on 12 April at the LAAD exhibition.
