Thales unveiled its 'future cockpit' concept for military and commercial fixed- and rotary-wing platforms at the Paris Air Show on 20 June. The concept is built around four 15-inch colour multifunction display touchscreens that have been melded together to form a single, seamless 'glass' display console that does away with all of the flight deck's analogue systems. The ODICIS (One Display for a Cockpit Interactive Solution) concept is being developed to capture the new-build and upgrade market about 10 years from now, Richard Perrot, marketing director at Thales Avionics, told Jane's.
