China is actively seeking aerospace and defence (A&D) corporate acquisition targets in the UK with an emphasis on aerospace structures, aviation propulsion specialists and research and development (R&D) opera-tions,Jane's has learnt. Efforts to source suitable UK targets appear to have been led by the Shanghai Aviation Industrial Group (SAIG), which is a division of the monolithic state-owned military and commercial aerospace group AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China).
