The UK Royal Marines are understood to have deployed BCB International's SQ-4 nano unmanned aerial system (UAS) on operations in Afghanistan.rnThe SQ-4 is a small, 55 g quad-rotor system that can range out to 1 km, beaming back video imagery from a small forward-facing daylight camera, which is also used to steer the aircraft. The aircraft features GPS and inertial stabilisation and can automatically return to base, flying in up to 18 kt winds with an endurance of an hour.
