Thales is set to land a contract worth more than EUR500 million (USD684 million) to maintain the avionics equipment aboard the French Air Force's Dassault Rafale fighters over a 10-year period, according to informed sources.rnThe sources say the deal has been approved by the defence ministry and will be formally announced before the end of the year. It will cover all of the Rafale's electronic equipment supplied by Thales, including the radar.
