ITT Exelis, the defence business set to spin off from ITT Corporation this month, will exploit its new independence to target electronics and aerostructures acquisitions and boost international sales.rnJohn Shephard, ITT Corporation's Vice-President of Strategy and Business Development, told Jane's on 12 October that he believes ITT Exelis is well placed to target the "enduring markets and high priority areas" in the US defence sector, thanks to a diversified product base.
