Airbus Military's A400M programme is back on track, according to officials leading the airlifter's flight test programme, having resolved problems identified this year with the aircraft's Europrop International (EPI) TP400-D6 turboprops."We are on track; the plans are in place," said Fernando Alonso, Head of Flight Operations for the programme, at a briefing at Airbus' facility in Toulouse, France, on 24 October. "The major problems we've had until today are behind us now."Up to 20 October the four A400Ms currently in flight test (aircraft MSN001-4) had clocked up 2,380 hours in 784 flights and conducted 1,653 take-offs and landings. Alonso said the aircraft are available for flying six days a week, each flying "either two slots per day or one long slot", with heavier maintenance done at the weekend.
