Eurocopter has expressed its willingness to consider assisting Advanced Technologies and Engineering (ATE) in South Africa, which has entered 'business rescue proceedings' in terms of South Africa's companies act, Jane's understands from industry sources. ATE's ongoing financial difficulties came to a head at the end of September when it became clear that a "substantial foreign debtor" had defaulted on "several overdue invoices". There is now a 'business rescue practitioner' engaged in evaluating the potential for saving the company as a functioning entity who must report by year-end.
