The UK Ministry of Defence is to start a new wheeled vehicle programme named the Multi Role VehicleProtected (MRV-P) as a result of the demise of the potentially huge UK Operational Utility Vehicle System programmes. "The current plan for MRV-P is [to] conduct a concept phase, which will review the work conducted during the OUVS Concept and Assessment Phase," the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) organisation told Jane's. "Initial Gate is expected in 2016 with a planning assumption for service entry of 2018."
