South Korea plans to refo-cus its indigenous attack helicopter programme, Jane's has learnt. Under pressure from the Republic of Korea Army (RoKA), the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) is considering relocusing the Korea Attack Helicopter (KAH) programme on a light helicopter weighing around four tonnes, according to a diplomatic source based in Seoul. South Korea's industry would develop and build 270 helicopters in partnership with a foreign firm by 2020, according to this plan.
