Northrop Grumman has been awarded a contract by the Brunei Ministry of National Defence (MINDEF) to provide a joint operations centre (JOC) com-mand-and-control capability for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), it was announced on 15 January.rnA statement by MINDEF said that the contract will cover the supply of a C4ISR headquarters system and a deployable JOC together with training and support.rnIt added that the C4ISR system and JOC will provide the RBAF and MINDEF with a "facility to deliver enhanced command-and-control capability for military commandsrnand civil organisations at both national and international level and [which would be] interoperable with its NATO and ASEAN [Association of Southeast Asian Nations] allies and coalition partners".
