The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) is committed to a second defence industrial strategy (DIS 2) as part of a new package of measures designed to reform defence procurement, acquisiton reform chief Lord Drayson has told Jane's.rnThe UK minister for strategic defence acquisition reform said on 26 January that DIS 2 will need to be started "straight after" the upcoming strategic defence review (SDR), which is scheduled to take place after the UK general election, due to be held by June this year.
