China has reiterated its intention to impose trade sanctions on United States-based companies that sell defence equipment to Taiwan.rnIn a press conference on 2 February in Beijing, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu said the ban would be introduced, although he did not elaborate as to when such sanctions might be imposed and what goods might be affected.
