North Korea could possess more than 18 nuclear warheads in less then a decade if the international community fails to halt its atomic programme, a proliferation expert has told Jane's.rnDaniel Pinkston, from the International Crisis Group, believes this figure is a conservative one. He was reacting to a fresh report released on 16 February by Johns Hopkins University in the United States that says the state could produce up to 18 nuclearwarheads by 2019.
