Kenya will enhance security on its border with Sudan during the critical electoral and referendum period in South Sudan running through 2011, a Defence Department spokesman told Jane's on 18 February.rn"Certainly we are going to do our utmost to defend our side of the forest region," spokesman Bogita Ongeri said. Human rights advocates and Sudan analysts have worried that the electoral period could intensify existing low-level violence in South Sudan.
