The BAE Systems Global Combat Systems Terrier Manoeuvre Support Vehicle (MSV) has taken another step towards production with the cutting of metal for the first hull at the com-pany's Newcastle-upon-Tyne facility. The first Terrier MSV hull will be completed later in 2010. It will be used for mine-blast trials to demonstrate the improved protection levels being incorporated into the vehicle following operational experience in Iraq and Afghanistan, especially in the area of mine protection.
