The Malaysian government signed defence contracts worth MYR341.79 million (USD106.77 million) at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2010 Exhibition and Conference in Kuala Lumpur on 20 April.rnIt also issued MYR1.69 billion in letters of acceptance (LoA) and MYR8.32 billion in letters of intent (Lol) at the event.rnEight contracts were signed in total, with the largest being an MYR 128.5 million deal with DCNS of France for the supply of Scorpene submarine navigation safety systems, combat systems, sensors and periscope simulators. The contract, which also encompasses maintenance and operation services performed by NAVFCO-qualified instructors, covers a period of 65 months.
