MBDA has begun work on an enhanced Dual-Mode Brimstone (DMB) air-to-surface missile to meet the UK Royal Air Force's (RAF's) Selected Precision Effects At Range (SPEAR) Capability 2 Block 1 requirement, the company announced on 29 June.rnThe announcement, made during a briefing at MBDA's UK HQ in London, marks the first time that the company has spoken about the UK's once highly-secretive DMB and the further developments already under way on the weapon.
