The South Korean (Republic of Korea - RoK) military is undergoing one of the most wide-reaching reorganisations since the 1950-53 Korean War. The shake-rnup was triggered by the sinking of the South Korean corvette Chon An in the Yellow Sea (West Sea) in March, which, according to Seoul and Washington, was the result of a torpedo attack originating from a North Korean vessel.
