The Brazilian Army plans to upgrade 150 of its M113B tracked armoured personnel carriers (APCs) via the US Foreign Military Sales process, a Brazilian Army spokesperson has told Jane's.rnThe US Department of Defense will award the upgrade project to a yet-to-be-determined company with completion by the end of 2013, said the spokesperson.rnBAE Systems US Combat Systems is well positioned to be selected for the work, having provided a proposal to the US Army for the project based on the M113 A2 Mk1 upgrade package, the Ml 13 programme manager at BAE Systems Land & Armaments told Jane's.
