摘要

NATO's Consultation, Command and Control Agency (NC3A) will launch tenders during 2011-12 worth more than EUR900 million (USD1.2 billion) to support the alliance's operational and infrastructure needs, agency officials have said. The information and communications technology (ITC)-oriented work packages will range from the ordinary, such as logistics management, to the strategic, such as missile defence.rnDespite heavy cost pressures caused by the international financial crisis, the 28 allies are set to increase NATO's common-funded infrastructure budget from EUR640 million in 2010 to EUR965 millionrnnext year. One impact is that "there are many important procurements coming up and business is well positioned to bid on them", Georges D'hollander, general manager of NC3A, told an industry conference on 6-7 October in Prague.
