Poland's Special Forces Command (Dowodztwo Wojsk Specjalnych -DWS) has confirmed to Jane'sihat the newly formed Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Team of its Support and Operations Sustainment Unit will begin operational use of its new Boeing/lnsitu ScanEagle Block D small tactical unmanned aircraft system (UAS) in February 2011.rnThe system was procured for USD7.22 million by the US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) under an urgent operational requirement, fulfilling "an immediate Polish warfighter need for Scan Eagle UASs for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance [ISR]", according to NAVAIR.
