Satellite imagery acquired from DigitalGlobe on 27 October confirms reports of recent activity at the site of North Korea's 2009 nuclear weapons test.rnThe site is near the town of Kilju in the northeast of the Korean peninsula. Jane's can confirm that there is renewed activity at both the operations base and the entrance to the underground test site.rnA nuclear test would undermine attempts to defrost relations between North Korea, South Korea and the US as Kim Jong-il manages a transition of power to his son, Kim Jong-un.
